Brittany Blair is an active harpist, pianist and teacher based in Waynesburg, PA. She is  Instructor of Harp and Music Theory at West Virginia University, where she also teaches lessons and group piano classes through WVU’s Community Music Program. A passionate educator, Brittany maintains an active private studio of piano and harp students of all ages and spends her summers on faculty at Interlochen Arts Camp, working with young harpists from around the country. She has served as Harp Mentor for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Youth Ensembles and Instructor of Piano at Expressions Music Academy in metro Detroit. Currently, Brittany is president of the Morgantown, WV chapter of the American Harp Society.  In addition to teaching, Brittany has been named a finalist in the Jacqueline Avent Concerto Competition, West Virginia University’s Young Artist’s Concerto Competition and has received performance scholarships to the University of Michigan, West Virginia University, and Sewanee Summer Music Festival. She regularly performed with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, Butler Symphony Orchestra, and Washington Symphony Orchestra.   

Brittany received her Master’s degree in Harp Performance from the University of Michigan’s School of Music Theater and Dance. She also holds degrees from West Virginia University in Harp Performance and Piano Performance, with an Area of Emphasis in Pedagogy.
